The Power of Mothers

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

The theme for the month of March is ‘UNSTOPPABLE ADVANCEMENT!’

22/03/20 Mother’s day word impartation and prophetic sermon themed: The WombMan!

General overseer and senior pastor Prophet John Enumah gave a message titled: ‘The Power of Mothers!' Three qualities that are essential in a good mother are: selfishness, loving and sacrificial in nature! In order for a woman to have these motherly qualities the fear of the Lord is required because honouring God carries wisdom. Proverbs 9:10: ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.’

A good mother works hard to make sure her children are equip with knowledge, skills and ability! However, there are bad mothers, mothers who are manipulative. 1 Chronicles 4:9: ‘Now Jabez was more honourable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.’ Jabez had the understanding that he was living in pain and sorrow which is why he cried to God. God had to change his name to change the identity that his mother wrongly gave to him; Jabez means pain and sorrow.

A mother must understand that she has a rod over her child’s life and use her power over her child wisely. Proverbs 1:8-9: ‘My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother, For they will be a graceful ornament on your head, and chains about your neck.’

In the name of Jesus, words that is not of God that is spoken into your life by any motherly figure will NOW crumble by FIRE! Every Godly mother in any capacity seeking God to lead the way of their parenthood shall find light and be rewarded in the name of Jesus!
